Child's Diarrhea is Not Improving!

In recent time, their is vast advancement in the treatment for childhood diarrhea. Yet nearly 2.2 billion child of the world died in each year for diarrhea which is one-fifth of the total death incidents for children of less than 5 year old group. Recently, their is a reduction in case of death caused by diarrhea but the risk for getting infected by diarrhea is staying in the same level. Each child can affected 3-4 times a year from diarrhea.

The most common picture of diarrhea is, suddenly the child started to have loose motion frequently and ultimately the child need one week of time to get full recovery from such diarrhea. In some cases, diarrhea is lasting for more than 2 weeks. This type of diarrhea which lasts for at least 14 days are known as long term diarrhea. Among the total, 36-54% of children were died for long term diarrhea.

Reasons for Long Term Diarrhea

In maximum cases, the infection of intestines is the root cause for sever diarrhea which converted into long term diarrhea in the later stage. Their are many non-infectious reasons for having long term diarrhea.

Primary Treatment for Diarrhea

Those children who have affected attacked by malnutrition but not yet attacked by sever shortage of fluid, need to prevent the fluid shortage through drinking Orsaline continuously. But if their is vomiting incident with sever diarrhea, then the shortage of fluid along with Ringers Lacktent need to be addressed. If their is sever mismanagement of electrolytes, specially the shortage of Potassium in blood and fluid in body need to be addressed very promptly.

At least half of these children have some pain in their body. In that case, we should take the right treatment procedure. If required, start the using of asntibiotecs based on physician's advice. Other than these, orsaline is very right thing in such situation. In case of requirement, we can give low osmolality's orsaline to fight against the shortage of fluid.

The Feeding in Diarrhea

Most of the children having short term diarrhea, can take Lactog. If the drinking level of Lactog exceeds the threshold level, then the treatment may not achieve its ultimate success. Other than this, we can feed them any kind of food prepared from milk instead of feeding them direct cow milk. They need to have the supply of Micro-Nutrients for their body.

If we want t save our child from the risk of having diarrhea for more than one time then we can follow the steps given in below:
